Betting Information
General principles and scope
Betanna settles all bets based on official results published by the governing body or competition organiser. If a result is announced after a delay, Betanna may settle according to the official source. Where a match is not completed, settlement follows the market description and official outcome rules. Bets on markets that specify inclusion of overtime or shootouts are settled accordingly; otherwise, results are determined at the conclusion of normal play unless the market description states otherwise.
Betanna reserves the right to void or cancel bets, partially or wholly, and to refund stakes where a clear error, fraud risk, or rule violation justifies such action. Betanna may void bets if a participant is inadvertently listed, if odds or event details were entered incorrectly, or if a customer attempts to manipulate the market or bypass limits through multiple identical bets or accounts.
Bet acceptance, amendments, and non-runner handling
Bet Bets are accepted online and not via other channels. Betanna may refuse or cancel any bet before the event starts, and may designate ambiguous bets as void without justification. Bets cannot be altered once confirmed, except as described for errors or official adjustments.
- If a bet is accepted after the actual or advertised start time (for pre-match bets), it may be treated as a non-runner.
- Odds displayed are subject to correction for palpable errors; final settlement uses corrected odds when applicable.
Settlement timing, withholding, and post-settlement corrections
Betanna aims to process settlements promptly. The standard window for final settlement or re-settlement is 30 days from the initial settlement. If a market is unsettled due to official inquiries or regulatory actions, Betanna may delay final decision until such processes conclude, after which settlements may be adjusted accordingly.
Event changes, postponements, and integrity
Betanna may void or cancel bets if there is a change in event venue or any radical alteration to event circumstances (such as altered duration or structure). If suspected fraud or match manipulation arises, Betanna may:
- Withhold settlement on specific tickets,
- Notify relevant authorities,
- Await an official verdict before settling or voiding bets.
Live, pre-match, and rule interactions
Markets declared as live or pre-match follow the same fundamental rules, with live markets sometimes subject to suspension or adjustment independent of pre-match terms. In cases of system interruption, Betanna will verify funds, odds accuracy, and event status before accepting or rejecting bets as the system becomes available again.
Overtime, shootouts, and special market definitions
Where a market explicitly states inclusion of overtime or shootouts, settlement reflects the designated extension. Absent explicit inclusion, overtime and shootouts are not counted for settlement of standard markets.
Two-decimal odds display, rounding, and refunds
Odds shown to customers are truncated to two decimal places for display. Total odds use a sixth decimal rounding for calculation, while the total win amount is truncated to two decimals. Any discrepancy reflects these rounding rules.
Maximum settlement window and volatility provisions
The maximum period between initial settlement and any subsequent re-settlement is 30 days. Betanna may adjust or reverse settlements if subsequent official information indicates an error in the original outcome, provided such information becomes available before the event conclusion window closes.
Participation and market integrity rules
Outright markets and head-to-head markets operate under the play-or-pay principle: bets on participants remain valid even if listed participants are unable to compete, provided the event proceeds as scheduled. In head-to-head markets, if a listed participant is unable to take part, those bets are void. Where a participant is replaced by another within the same team, team-based markets may stand while individual market settlements are void.
Scorers and player markets
Player-specific markets apply to the period defined by the market. If a player does not participate, bets on that player are void. Own goals and other declared special cases are settled according to the official scoring rules of the competition. Markets that require participation and do not occur will be void unless otherwise stated in the market description.
Sport-specific settlement rules
- American football: Market outcomes may include overtime. Quarter and half markets require the respective periods to be completed for settlement. Abandonments or postponements follow the general postponement rules unless stated otherwise for the sport.
- Athletics: Postponements or abandonments are settled if the event is completed within the specified window; otherwise, unsettled bets may be voided per the sport's rules.
Baseball and related markets
Baseball markets (including Moneyline, Run totals, and innings-based bets) require the full number of scheduled innings for pre-match settlements unless the market specifies otherwise. Extra innings, shortened formats, and specified thresholds (e.g., 5 innings or 4.5 innings with the home team leading) determine eligibility for settlement. Pitcher-line (PL) markets are void if the listed starting pitcher changes; action-line settlements apply regardless of pitcher changes unless the bet slip explicitly indicates PL. Markets based on the standard nine or seven innings settle only if the official game status reaches the corresponding threshold.
Consistency and disputes
In the event of inconsistent official scores, Betanna reserves the right to delay settlement until official confirmation. If a market is offered after the outcome is already known, Betanna may void the bet. Any errors in settlement discovered after the fact may be corrected if the correction is supported by official results and communicated before the finalization of the event’s results.
Dead heats and multi-market settlements
Dead heat rules apply to outright markets where multiple competitors share a position. A dead-heat adjustment may apply a factor to each tied position for settlement. In markets combining multiple selections within the same event, such bets are not accepted if one outcome affects another; such bets may be canceled if placed in error.
Miscellaneous governance
Betanna reserves the right to modify these rules at any time. Sport-specific adjustments take precedence over the general framework. If a rule is not covered herein, Betanna will make a determination on an individual basis consistent with fair and orderly market conduct.
